That’s So Hun

Video Editing Marathon. Cider and Thumbs.

To start with I’d like to point out that I wasn’t responsible for the branding on this. That was covered by the people at Strongbow, as they sponsored this iteration of the Hunsnet podcast. I forgot to mention that it’s a podcast. But it is a podcast. And a filmed one at that.

Each episode was / is roughly half an hour, but the rushes of each one were double that. Which posed its own problems – you realise very quickly that a two camera set up isn’t too problematic, but if you’ve got four on the go it’s a bit of a nightmare. Especially if three people are talking at once and you’ve got to cut stuff out of the cacophony. Then there’s inflection. Which you sort of don’t really think about until you have to but you can instantly tell if you’re watching something and the cadence is off.

Complaining aside, it was a lot of fun to do and by and large it was very limited on amends. Which is always a plus point when you’re working on stuff that’s so difficult to review. Even if you’re setting it at 2x playback it takes ages to check.
