New payments systems, please.

Just quickly, this is a sports club in East Sussex that deals with children, children doing tennis and children doing BMX. I had to revampo the logo – to be fair, most of this was in place but I had to make it a vector, as all they had was a 72ppi flat jpeg about 400px in width. Not ideal. To put it mildly.

What’s weird about this one is that it’s all about the money, money, money and also the price tag, actually. To explain, the system was a bit of a shambles. The bulk of their business involves looking after kids during the holidays and the instructor used to have to text all of parents of the children individually and ask them if they want to attend, get a text back from them to confirm and then ask them to wire transfer the fee with another text. Which I’m sure we can all agree is a lot of work at best and absolutely insane at worst.

After setting up a payment gateway, now all they need to do is send out one link per half term / summer / Christmas holiday and watch the money roll in. And judging from the feedback, roll in it certainly did. If you want to attend, pay via the website. If you don’t, don’t. Everything recorded in the backend and refunds delivered with a click of a button.

One text sent, job done.
