Lilac & Willow Flowers

Website. Posters. Assorted. Antihistamines on standby.

While I do love building websites, that ordinarily happens with nothing on the board. Not in this case. It already existed (including shopping facilities, I might add) but was all a bit off-the-shelf and drab. Which isn’t what you want for your wedding, is it? I mean, it’s not *just* weddings, but that avenue is certainly a money spinner, as you would expect.

My initial suggestion was to get the designs signed off, hit it with a brick and have a couple of days downtime whilst it all gets built and tested. That didn’t happen, and I kind of get why now. The whole thing took an absolute million years to get done. I don’t think this was the original plan, but some of the working methods where bizarre.

Endless calls for weeks on end, going round in circles, often ending back where we started like some kind of digital Blair Witch Project. It flitted intermittently between crushing micromanagement and passive indifference. One minute THIS THING was dreadfully important, the next, nobody was available to respond to any queries. It all ended up fine, but I could’ve done what was actually done in less than a week rather than the three months that it took.

As I’m sure you can imagine, I managed to brush up heavily on my imposter syndrome throughout the process as a whole.
