Roadblocks, report, who run the world?
What you don’t really see with this one is that the roadblock (for American entertainment news website DEADLINE) is made up of loads of little files pieced together. It’s actually a bit of a nightmare to work out how it all fits together, even with a spec. I got reports back that I did this very efficiently as it goes, so well done me. Thanks everyone. Also you’ll see an MPU and a double MPU in there as well, just to add to the body of the page. There was also a mobile only banner for fans of small screens.
It was all done to promote the second Girls On Film awards, which took place in February of 2023. Celebrating all things female in the world of film, I believe the night was a success. Apparently the demand for tickets far outweighed the chosen venue’s capacity. So a good job all round.
To build on that, they wanted a report of the event to deliver stats, thank yous and what not, to send round to potential sponsors for the 2024 edition (which is hopefully happening). This rapidly turned from a simple 4-pager to a not-so-simple 16-pager, featuring galleries, graphs, quotes and so on and so forth.
Duran Duran were not involved at any point. The band or the baddie from Barbarella.
