FanTracks

I herd U liek wressling w/dbases.

FanTracks offer some kind of subscription service. I know that’s quite vague for a person that effectively worked with them, but hear me out. There’s a separate streaming site. What I was doing was more of a standalone, showcase thing. Thankfully. That other thing just seems like a whole world of pain (which is frankly beyond my capabilities anyway).

They already had a decent logo and colour palette to work with, so on the surface this seems like it would’ve been a walk in the park. Which it kind of was. Kind of. What wasn’t particularly helpful is that they couldn’t decide on what domain to use. And were somehow pressing me for the finished website. Which is…unusual.

Anyway, we went with one and when I was 90% done somehow that changed. Which involved much database wrangling and a whole load of admin I could’ve done without. So effectively I started walking in one park and ended up in another.

Kind of like one of those dreams you have where you compile all your old addresses and they all conjoin. Ok, that sounded weird. And to be honest, it wasn’t really like that.
