Last.fm Third Party Clients
Skins, online ads, smart ads, radio player graphics, mailouts, kitchen sinks.

Cornflakes. Cornflakes. Cornflakes, cornflakes, cornflakes, conflakes, cornflakes, cornflakes, CORNFLAKES. That’s a Young Ones reference. If you don’t get that, I think we need to have a talk. If you’re one of those ‘yeah but I wasn’t even born in 1982’ types then we don’t need to have a talk. Probably ever.

We’re getting off the point a bit. So these were rich and varied, usually with a third party client involved. I say usually. I mean always. The most enjoyable bits for me were the smart ads, as that was messing with the Last.fm API to get data – essentially feeding page data from into them, cross referencing it with hard coded rules and outputting the copy accordingly. So even though normally ads are duller than a Peter Andre book signing in Cleethorpes, I learnt a load of stuff, so thumbs up.

There were millions of them, though. Reebok, Xbox, Adidas, Hewlett Packard. Wait, I’ll find some…Here you go.
